Every now and again an invention is so innovative and yet is so suited to human nature that it produces a revolution in the way people do things so that the face of community is entirely changed - like the wheel, like written language, like steam and combustion engines, like the telephone, like the television.

Like the computer.

Like the internet.

Like blogging.
