Resizing Images Posted to the Community

VERSION 1 Published

Although our community software will re-size images to display at an appropriate size, please be aware that it doesn't change the photo's "weight", that is, the size of the photo file. When posting photos to our community, please be sure that the photo is of a reasonable file size (weight). Post low-res photos when possible.

Instead of downloading photos straight from your camera to our community, please take time to edit them in an external photo editor (photoshop, gimp, etc) to reduce the size of the file.

Photos add an important element to our community, but they must be used responsibly. Thanks!

What? You don't want me to use my nice 10 megapixel picture from my ubber expensive camera so that you can print out a photo resolution version of it at 11x17? ;-) (And no, I don't actually have an ubber expensive camera that does 10 megapixel pictures...but I could borrow my dad's if it will help)
