I have seen a lot of questions that this little piece of software would solve, I have even answered a few. Anyway this application is called Qemu it is a very small VM that will allow you to boot any operating system that you have an ISO of, well almost any. This is a great solution for people that want to try Linux. You get to test out Linux without even having to reboot your windows based PC. You can download Qemu here. This is a really easy VM to use as well. All you have to do is move the ISO you want to boot in to the same folder as Qemu and run the launch bat file. That's really all there is to it. Qemu has an accelerator you can install that comes with it and you can edit the launch bat file to edit things like memory usage, video, etc. You will find it helpful to look in to changing these settings as it can drastically improve your VM's performance. Enjoy.
