With my fiber internet connection, I have an insane amount of low-latency bandwidth... ~10ms ping @ 30mbps up and down (synchronous)

In testing my fiber has reached 5MB/sec speeds, I call that fast in my book!

My IP address is static and will stay that way according to my ISP, I've tried photo hosting sites like shutterfly, flickr, and microsoft's live photo gallery.

All of them are nice, but uploading to all of them is clunky and the web addresses are long and require emailing to share them.

I've been exploring ways to host my own photo gallery, got any suggestions on a simple but nice looking photo gallery server?

The next step becomes linking my IP and a domain name... I might try dyndns for that, mainly because my wifi router has built in support for it.

Nope, but I wish I had your ISP. 5 mb/sec? Man. :D

I don't know if it would qualify as a Photo gallery, but you could check out PhotoBucket. You can set it up to where you can control access.
