I was promised a refund on my extended warranty's, because Lenovo was unable to repair my ideapad. Lenovo was unable to find the purchase of the first extended warranty I purchased, so I purchased a second extended warranty. The Hard drive failed, and The One Key Recovery system would not work. The only way to clear the error was to use the one key recovery, but then after a restart it would go to the BSD (blue screen of death). I had sent it in about 4 times, it came back with an unlicensed version of Win Vista 32 bit OS. I was only licienced to use the Vista 64 bit OS. The only sollution I could find was to purchase a copy of either the Vista 64 OS or Windows 8 in the 32 or 64 bit OS format. Maybe I should have sent it in for an exchange, but at the time the 64 bit OS was still unavaliable. I had 4 Gig of Ram so I wanted to use the 64 bit OS to take advantage of the extra RAM. Since I reformated the Hard drive and did away with the One Key Recovery software, Loaded the Win 8, 64 bit OS my ideapad has been working real well. The Original software would lock up, and the 32 bit software would also lock up. Thus, I am out the extra cost for two extended warrenty, as well as the cost of the Win 8 OS.
