One of my favorite features of PC World magazine is the comparison charts for various products, such as Top Ten Desktop-Replacement Laptops. These don't appear on the web site, and they should. Frequently a lot of the same information will be there, but in different formats and less complete, ane in a less user-friendly manner. For example, I found the laptops chart, but it didn't show the Worldbench score, weight, battery life, etc. all in one easy-to-read table. Please make the web site as good and useful as the magazine!

While I'd also like to see more and better comparison charts on the website, they've got to give something extra to the paying subscribers. And pretty charts that combine all the information in an easy to read format are one of those things they can omit from the website with minimal impact on the quality of their articles.

If you really want to see all the information in a chart, just copy and paste the information into your favorite spreadsheet program and make your own chart. That's something easy to do with electronic copy of an article, not so much with the printed version.

My point was to make things easier for web site users. Making my own spreadsheets is not my idea of easier. If the goal is really to have better content in the print magazine, perhaps PC World could add "subscribers only" features on its web site. I'm not sure that is their motivation, though.
