Seems like a lot of ink for a system that controls less than 10% of the market... Did I land on Mac World by mistake? Good Grief.

What do Macs have to do with it? The majority of iOS users are PC owners. And iOS has more than 10% of the mobile market; almost all of the tablet market.

If I dispute one single point in a post, that should not be taken as an indication that I agree/disagree with any other point made by that poster or anyone else in the thread. Or anywhere else. Ever.

I would have preferred a brightness slider added to the iphone double-tap menu, as opposed to a volume slider. i hate having to dig into the settings menu to avoid blinding myself when i pull out my phone in the middle of the night.

it is funny how they advertise all those workflows "...you can have streaming Internet audio playing while you're working in other apps, all the while staying logged in to Skype and AIM". If people were using those devices in this manner, then their monthly bills for data usage would be $100+. I don't know a single person, or better say tablet owner that doesn't care about data usage. Those tiered data plans are killing development of mobile devices...

That's not true. You completely forget Wifi.
Anybody who would do this for a longer period would probably do this using his Wireless LAN at home or at work for most of the time.
That's what I do, and I dont max out my data plan for mobile or for home.
