I recently received a digital camera (Canon Power Shot. A549), and need an easy program to get my pic's. The program that came with my camera takes up too much room, and I have other programs that boot up as soon as I hook up my camera to my computer.

What other programs boot up when you connect your camera?

I just put my SD card in the computer and let Windows import the pictures. It puts them all in My Pictures. It's as easy as it gets. As soon as they are in My Pictures, I have a new program called Photobot (www.photobot.com) that cleans them up for me. It's automatic, so it's really easy.

It doesn't give you a choice to open it with a different program like Microsoft's picture utility (I forget its exact name) or simply a windows file folder itself (thats what I usually do). If you have a back up copy of the program your already using on your computer you could try to uninstall the program you have now, and then just hook the camera up afterwards to see if it gives you any other options.
