I am trying to make a decision on which online "office" program to use and just can't seem to decide between SkyDrive and Google Docs. Does anyone have a lot of experience with either one?

Also, any good ways of syncing Docs or SkyDrive with your computer?

Well, for one thing, you can download http://openoffice.org for free, which will let you edit documents locally, without paying for M$ Office.

Both can open M$ Office docs, but most likely Microsoft will still neglect OpenOffice.org open document formats.

The Skydrive is a 'me too' copy of Google's service, which has been around for years.

If you already have a google account, and sync your calendar and email with your android or iphone(s), then you already have a google document account. The google spam handling is pretty darned good.

Google documents has some 'limitations', but it can be used on ANY computer, ANYWHERE without installing any software.

They're both free to try. Make yourself a google account and a windows live account and see which one you like better.
