Let me share an ongoing horrible experience with the online seller, Buydig.

I placed an order an under water housing for Panasonic Digital Camera ZS5 from Buydig.com, because they "guaranteed" that they can ship the product before 12/24 (Christmas). On 12/24, the product that I ordered never arrived. Indeed, the stuff never arrived until now (January 18). As I did not receive the order on 12/24, I immediately asked for cancellation, but they refused it, because they shipped already. They told me that I have to receive the product, and ship back, and they can start refund only after they receive the product. I found out that there is some problem with Fedex, which I have no idea about. I asked them to solve the issue, but they told me that it is my responsibility.

In sum: I ordered a stuff which was promised to be delivered by 12/24. I was charged for the full price of the goods I never received and I immediately asked for cancellation right after 12/24. I did not receive it yet as of January 18. They claim that it is my responsibility to receive the product, ship it back, and only after they receive the product they can refund.

It seems to me a fraud.

If you read this, i hope you will never buy from them. Maybe the price is competitive, but there is a (horrible) reason.

I'm confused. In your second paragraph, you said they guaranteed shipment by 12/24. In your third paragraph, you said they guaranteed delivery by 12/24. So which was it? Even if they shipped it on 12/24, 25 days is a long time for domestic shipment and you said you still haven't received it. USPS can ship Media Mail or First Class within 1-2 weeks, although they warn it could take up to 3 for domestic and even longer for international.

Did they give you a tracking number to track the delivery? Any good business would do so. You may want to talk with your credit card company and get the transaction canceled.

Million thanks for suggestion! Sorry for the confusion. It was guaranteed "delivery" (it was for Christmas present). The merchant sent me the tracking information, but the tracking info says that the package got stuck in the sorting facility since one month ago, that's all. I don't understand that I have to solve the delivery problem myself, which Buydig told me to do. Can I cancel the transaction even it was charged like a month ago and the merchant does not agree with the cancelation?

Hi. Once an order has been shipped it can not be cancelled. Actually, once the order is in the process of getting for shipment it is beyond cancellation, and after that, you would have to set up a return in order to be reimbursed the purchase price. If once it shipped and got stuck in a facility along the way, it be from any number of reasons including weather. If you had followed the tracking, it may have given you some idea of the delivery date.

Thank you for suggestion.

The problem is that the thing I can do with Fedex (which seems to have a problem with the shipment. The shipping status was not updated since one month ago) is limited, and Buydig doesn't help me at all. They just told me I need to solve the problem myself, ship the product back, and then they can start the process of cancellation. I think it is a horrible attitude from Buydig, as I placed an order as they "promised for delivery in time for Christmas" (I needed for December 24th). At least I hope they help me solving the issue. The customer promised me to look into the issue and get back to me, but I did not hear anything after three weeks. It really looks like a scam to me at this point. I don't have time to deal with Fedex myself, and probably just forget about it.

I went through the same thing, but a little different circumstance. I ordered something for my mother ( said "In Stock" ), price $59.99. I get an email syaing that there was a problem and I needed to reorder, so I go back to reorder and the price is suddenly $69.99. It was a Christmas present for my mother , so I reordered it. I eventually get an email saying it was out out stock and would be shipped when more got in. I could NOT cancel my order at that point. I was mad at that point, but long story short, I received it on Christmas Eve. I had ordered it through Amazon, but it was a third party seller. They even gave me Over night shipping and dropped the shipping charge. If you have the tracking number, you can get in touch with FedEX. At Christmas, they put on extra people and I don't think they screened all that well. Things can and do get stolen from both FedEx and UPS. It is usually during the holidays when they put on the extra people and it is rare for that to happen because of the security. As for BuyDig, once it goes out the door, they are done with it and it is the responsibility of the shipper ( FedEx, UPS, or USPS ).
