Maybe this needs correcting?

"He says 75 percent of 18-25 year-olds own a mobile device today, up from 75 percent in 2007."

More garbage.
500 million social networkers can't be wrong?
Or can they?
Once upon a time the entire population believed the world was flat. Were they right?
I feel that "Social Neworking" is a substitute for real socializing and a time wasting and potentially dangerous pastime. The sooner the stupid fad dies, the better.
To disagree without being disagreeable is the art of debate. Simply because one has a strong opinion, it does not necessarily make an alternative opinion less valid.

Thanks for sharing some of the insights from Watkins and great article. I agree that this hypersocial culture is changing the way we live, work and connect with one another and this change will need to be addressed in schools – but a disorder I’m not so sure about since it’s the way everything is going. I think we need to adjust and prepare for this new way of living as social media becomes more ingrained in our daily lives and relationships. We need to break out of traditional routines to better communicate with one another and for schools this means engaging with students in a more meaningful and familiar way. This also has big implications for businesses, as it breaks down the communication roadblocks and as such I suspect 2011 will be the year that consumers and businesses meet as equals.

Best regards,
