Can anyone help me with directx please? When i try install a game it won't let me because it thinks i don't have directx 9.0c while i have installed it. DXDIAG confirms it saying my DirectX Version is: Directx 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904). Can anyone please tell me how i can make the installation disc recognize this?

There are many releases of DirectX 9.0c. You might have an outdated one on your computer. Try updating to the latest release (February 07) here.

but you haven't told us what specific game you are trying to install...maybe some of us experienced the same issue as you.

I had same issues with the error message "does not recognize Dx 9c" or some very similar messages. Once I disabled onboard graphics and put in a video card [in my case, a GeForce FX 5200], all my gaming issues went away. Even though the 5200 is low-end, it solved rendering, Dx9, and some resolution issues.Maybe it is in your graphics card?????????????? Do you have a graphics card? If you are running only the onboard graphics, that's likely your problem.Does the install give some message about "supported cards"?

Copy "dsetup32.dll" to c:windowssystem32.
