Hello first post." I wanted to shout out that Monitor sizes alwys look bigger in the ads then they do when you see them in the store." Mine is a 23 WM but if I had to get it again I would probably get the 24 or 25 inch." B) I have a ViewSonic."

Now my other lcd Monitor is HP LCD 15 Inches." Too small for me.""

Welcome to PCWorld Noah!

Ah yes, monitor sizes, its marketing 101, give the longest dimension and sell it as such. ;-)

On-hand and seeing it with your own eyes makes a difference, I remember when I upgraded from a 14" widescreen PC laptop to a 15" widescreen, I was like WOW I have so much more space on my display, two years later I got a high-res 15" MacBook Pro...

I go for a resolution to size ratio, I look for a resolution to meet my needs, then I find a monitor size that will fit my budget.

As a photographer, high-res displays are an absolute must! 1280x800 is just not enough screen area to see today's high-def photos.

Hi. You have remember, that they are measured Diagonally ( corner to corner ). It is always best to see them in the store as that will give you the best perspective. I went from a 13" CRT on my old Commodore 128. to a 17" CRT flat screen on an eMachines and it was like WOW!!! I then went to a 19" LCD and again what a difference. I then moved to this 22" Samsung, which, by comparison, has a lot of real estate. Everything fits quite nicely so no problems.

I know what you guys mean. I have a 19" widescreen monitor. Just bought a 21.5" widescreen. I love them both. But with the new one, can get two files side by side and see more data. Nice. Both LCD, both take up less space than those dinosaur CRT's. LOL
