I came across a nVidia 7900GS 256mb PCI-E for 200 bucks and it seems like a good deal but as i looked at other online stores i kept seeing different verzions. For example some had the letters PNY in front of them or BFG wat is that? I am on a 200-230 dollar budget so if there are any other cards that are better than this one please tell me. Another thing is the memory is there a big diffrence between 256mb and 512mb in terms of performance and graphics? I have 1gb of ram and a pentium 4 procesor 3.0ghz cpu speed will that be enough to run this card smoothly and at its full? I know there are alot of questions but im cllueless when it comes to this stuff, thank you in advance.

PNY BFG are brand names Pentium 4 cpu's are OLD tech. and run very hot 1 gig of ram is the bare minimum I would run for any system, 2 gig's is MUCH prefered As for a better video card http://www.newegg.co...16814130066EVGA offers a lifetime warranty and an "upgrade" program, meaning you can trade it in on a newer model, for a discount, a VERY nice feature! Also the Pent. 4 cpu is somewhat "bottlenecked" by its "netburst" platform, which means, that under some conditions , yes you will be limited by its performance

Ok , I found your spec's online, you need a pci-e video card, the one you mentioned earlier will work, although not as well as the one I posted, and not as good a warranty. YES, YOU WILL NEED A NEW POWER SUPPLY!!!!!!!!! You will have to go to DELL to get one as they use a propriatary power supply, sorry.(This is going to be expensive).

In the case of power supplys, bigger is usually better but I" Think " dell has a 430 watt, which should work fine You really should consider the EVGA Card, over the PNY, if for nothing else , just the warranty!

You have NO OPTION but to go to dell to get your supply ( that I know of), and as far as the card is concerned, why not the one I posted?, it's faster and has more ram.
