hello, need help. can no longer log on while another user is logged on . pc freezes or becomes very sluggish.

I had this happen to me when I was on dail up. I ended up getting a trojan horse on my machine. When I would walk away and the machine would go into hybernation mode, or after the screen saver would start, it would not allow me to log in. Even though I know I was using the correct password, it would say incorrect password. I tried everything; caps lock, spelling, and everything else that you start to second guess yourself on. It is not anything I did wrong, it was just a particularly nasty trojan that took control of my machine. Are you running WinXP Home edition too?The only thing I could do was shut off the computer and start it up again. Pain in the *ssSounds like you better do some serious maintenance on your machine. Virus Scan, Ad-ware Scan, cleanup, chkdsk, defrag. The works!Good Luck
