Hi,We have developed a website for a client which sits on our dedicated server. The site requires client membership which triggers an activation code to the clients email address. We are finding that 50% of memberships are incomplete as the client never receives the activation code, as it was directed to their junk mail and not their inbox. Can anyone kindly provide some suggestions to resolve this issue?Thank you.

You can't, you're being sent to the junk box because you're on the blacklist of those email providers. Just make a note on the registration page for users to check their junkmail folder in the event that they do not receive their email.

We find that it is only Hotmail accounts which are routing the activation emails to the Junkmail. Any known work around for Hotmail?

You can try contacting Hotmail to be taken off their blacklist, but that will take a while. That's all I can think of.

Sometimes there are keywords (in the subject line) that automatically are sent into the junk bin as well. Have you tried to look into the configuration of your system and see if you can simply disable the email activation?

I know but I was just asking if theres a way to shut it off. For example, on phpbb forums you can have levels of activation of none/user/admin. Most people have it on user so bots don't join and over populate the board, but it requires an activation link like the one your talking about. If set to admin you would have to approve them, meanwhile if its set on none then the person just signs up and can log in without any email activation.
