Hello:Would I be able to install Windows XP or Vista, and any other program on an external hard drive and ditch my internal hard drive? Also, would I be able to use the external hard drive on any other computer (except for a Mac of course)? The point here is I want to have my hard drive with me at all time so no one can run my computer, but I also want to have access to my hard drive anywhere. Thank you for your help.RegardsMedee

Yes in some cases, if you read "Langa Letter: XP On Your Thumb Drive" you may find one way to try to do this. Don't forget though that there could be security permissions in some cases if you try to use the drive on some computers where the files are accessible only to some account which isn't that hard to imagine.Regards,JB
