I have looked and looked for a free RAM defragmenter from a site I trust, but I have had no luck. What free RAM defragmenters do you recommend?

If you mean a program which frees up RAM, forget it. I've never heard of one which actually speeds anything up... In fact, the program is more likely to slow your system down.

I have used this program FreeRAM XP Pro beforehttp://www.download.com/FreeRAM-XP-Pro/3000-2086-10070530.html?part=dl-FreeRAMXP&subj=dl&tag=buttonIt is true that it does free your RAM and reallocates the RAM clusters so programs can use the remaining memory more efficiently. However the impression I get is that it dumps some of it into the page file. This program is good when you need a short boost of memory. But I do not recommend this type( as in RAM defragmenters in general) of programs for long term use. The speed of RAM is already fast enough. It gives little performance benefit whether your RAM is fragmented or not.
