To the author: you know that WordPress dot-ORG is not the same thing as WordPress dot-COM, right?

It was the hosted blog service WordPress dot-COM, owned by Automattic, that was hit with the DDoS attack, NOT WordPress dot-ORG, owned by the WordPress Foundation, and which is the project website for the self-hosted WordPress application.
