Thought it was worth sharing that apparently the world’s most active spam generator has gone quiet. See http://techland.time...work-goes-quiet

Always wondered how it works and how much percentage of those enlargement stuff spam actually works. Anyone has a theory?

I can't remember the exact statistics and the secrets to spam, but if just one person clicks on the spam link and/or buys something, the spammer can get $5000 to $250,000 from it.

One more reason spam is really bad...
Even the experts started out as beginners

He was talking about this subform is supposed to be locked to "regular" members. There is a "You cannot start a new topic" grayed out button where the normal "Start Topic" button is...at least for me and I would assume for LiveBrianD.

I don't think that is locked out in "Community Voices". Topics here are started by members for the most part as in other areas.

Oddly, I couldn't attach the image to my post as usual. I had to put it on a different site and embed it.

You are incorrect. It is locked out for "Members". My guess is that Dixieme was not locked out because they are part of the "New Member" group and it appears that maybe the permissions where not set to prevent that group from creating new posts in this forum.

Hmmm, Yep. I just went and checked and all topics in here were started by PCW with that one exception. There are some temporary limitations on the "New Member" group. I just saw that thing that Snip that livebrian posted. Will have to see what is what with that.
