today i bought the 27 Inch Acer S273HL it is beautiful, my one problem is that i cant figure how to get my HDMI audio to stop coming out of the monitors speakers and come out to my speakers i have plugged into the HDMI audio port on back of the monitor. The HDMI is coming from my ATI Radeon 5850. Anyone have any tips?

the audio is working its just going to the monitors speakers and it doesnt sound good at all threw there lol.

i never had this problem with my LG Flatron 24 inch monitor :(

It looks like the monitor uses a 3.5mm audio jack. Try going into the monitor's settings. Also, there's a chance that the jack is meant for audio IN, if you used the VGA port (which doesn't carry audio).

Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and click Playback Devices. Set Speakers as the default output device. Also, plug your speakers into the computer directly. Now does it not come from the monitor?
