I'm not sure if this is the right blog but here it goes.I am having problems emailing pictures. I have 3 picture programs (Photo Finale, Sony Picture Package, & Sony Motion picture browser that came w/ my Sony Alpha) and whenever I try to email pictures, I get the message "MAPI send error has occured". I use Outlook 2003 for email. OS is Windows XP.I had thought the problem was caused by a upgade to my McAfee Security Center; however, after contacting them and doing their suggestions, I still get the same error message. I have found Microsoft's help center to be completely worthless and I am at my wits end. I'm at the point of using a hammer on my Dell and buying a IMac.If anyone has a suggestion of how I can somehow fix this problem, I would be greatful. Thanks.

Just a guess: most email systems have a limit as to the size of file that can be sent. Whenver I have trouble sending photos.. it's usually because they go beyond that size limit.

The emailing problem started about 2 months ago. I never had problems emailing pictures in the past so I know that the size is not the issue. Plus, the photo programs shrink the size of the pic so that they are in Kb's instead of Mb's. But thanks for your thoughts, Wayfinder. I do appreciate it.Maybe I'll try reinstalling Outlook or something when I get the chance and see if that fixes the problem. I just don't want to have to start sending multiple emails for pictures because I know my email has a 10 MB attachment limit/email.

Suggestion before reinstalling (just to save time). Google the error and see if others have a solution. Sometimes can save quite a bit of time in reinstalling programs.: )

I did a google/yahoo search and found a link to MS which ended up being worthless. Plus, I wasn't happy by the fact that if I wanted tech support, I'd have to pay $49.Anyway, I ended up popping in my Office CD and clicking on the Repair option which seemed to have fixed the problem. Thanks for all your suggestions.
