I am so frustrated right now. I have been burning audio cd's for a few years now. Not an expert, but I can get around pretty well. Last year, someone told me to make a data cd loading it with songs. I did and could fit a large amount 75-100 songs on a 700mb cd -r disc. It would play in newer vehicles, buts since I had an older after marker Sony in my vehicle, I continued to make regular audio cd's (12-20 songs) for it. I have just bought a new car (2007) and I just assumed that it would play a data disc with songs on it, but alas it spits it out and says no audio track. My brothers 2006 Ford plays the same cd, is it possible that Nissan Altima doesn't support this type of disc, or am I doing someting wrong. Any ideas???

If you burn a CD as a data CD, then you need a CD player capable of playing MP3s. If you look at a CD player, it will tell you whether or not it plays MP3s on the package. If your car CD player won't recognize the CD, then you don't have a CD player with MP3 capabilities.
