Liar. No one is able to buy the Asus as they stopped sells the same day in April they released it. It's shuttered down until June at least.

The Samsung isn't available now and not until June 8th. Why do you lie so much??>

Why would anyone want to buy into this almost lifeless platform when Apple has already got the best platform and the highest quality tablets too?

Mighty strong choice of words. Obviously you haven't done your homework.

My grandson picked up his ASUS Transformer on Friday 13 May 2010. He booked order with Fry's Electronics on Wednesday 11 May.

lolz... I've got my Asus Transformer 16GB since Apr 28 (ordered on Apr 26). W/ the docking, my tablet has 16 hours of battery life.

Because I don't like iTunes and I want a USB port.

1) Because people want an adult tablet not a toy
2) 10 times better browsing experience (Flash and more)
3) USB, swappable storage, stereo speakers, better hardware specs
4) 10 times better GPS app with Google (not just google maps like apple)
5) seamless integration with google services.
6) widgets and customization
7) complete system wide file management
8) 10 times easier file transfers
9) No iTunes!!!!! no need for ANY syncing software to do ANYTHING
10) eventually 100% open source

If it is so lifeless, why are there tons for manufacturers making android smartphones and tablets?
If it is so lifeless, why is apply acting like a little baby and crying their way to courts every week because someone is making a superior product?
If Apple's Iphone/Ipads were so much better, it would welcome the competition instead since everything is up for comparison by the end-user.

What is interesting to me is what someone that is such an enormous Apple fan is doing surfing Android forums for new releases?? Whats the matter, having trouble accessing your own data because Itunes crashed again?? Or did you just run out of HD space and realize that your Ipad just became a really expensive external hard rive with a display? Just curious I guess??

Because people want a real tablet and not an oversized iPhone.

They can't keep the Transformer in stock. That is the one I see selling like crazy. From all the reviewers their owners are in love with it. I had several bad experiences with the Galaxy Tab 10.1. The G-Slate, which I also own is pretty good. Not perfect, but close. In hindsight had the Transformer come with a 3G or 4G modem I might have gone that route. Absolutely love Honeycomb 3.1. The apps could use polish in the market but the OS is solid.

Nonseq is right. I can't explain how much Rise Against is a non sequitur in the comment section of this article...

lifeless? your obviously ignorant. Android does everything Apple can't do, such as widgets, live wallpaper, customizable to the users liking, crashes far less then ios, one last good point of Android is its updated much more then apples ios, oh yes, we don't need itunes for every little thing we want to do with our open source device. Apple can't compete with Android and as apples last resorts they tried to sue google and other Android device manufactures over patent infringements and lost. Apple is known for attempting to sue everyone with a powerful product that competes with their devices

This tablet rocks, costs under $120, has a 7" capacitive screen, 1.5ghz processor, basically the same as the Kindle Fire for WAY less money. People need to stop going for the WAY over priced name brand tablets and save some dough...

I got mine a couple months ago for around $140 and love it (although I'm bummed the price has dropped so much). Link: My link
