Forget Nobel which is just a PR event. What CS needs we need is the Howard Hugues who invests in 10 year $5M fellowships to sustain fundamental CS research laboratories.

If no Nobel prize, why not a little something for that little book of records? Say, at least Name. Rank and Horsepower. Then the hackers could hack each other out of the book and leave the rest of us alone.
