For reason unknown, below the ones it normally displayed, my Google now displays a black bar with white letters. At the left end it says Web, and at the right end it says Sign in in greyed-out characters, and a button for the options iGoogle and settings.
Is this a new "feature"? How can I remove it?

Hi, Tony.
This is the new Google user interface. I don't think there are any new features to it, just a new look with the black bar.
I couldn't find a way to go back to the old interface.

If you use Firefox and have the Greasemonkey add-on installed, you could try one of the following userscripts:
Google Bar Classic
Google Light Navbar
Opera has a feature that works like the Greasemonkey add-on which allows it to use JavaScript like those above.
