10. Better picture display screen than FB.. You don't have to scroll the photo itself to see the comments. Photo is always in front of you when you scroll down the comments...

11. Stream is better than News Feed in the sense that you always see updated content at the top, even if only a comment is added to the previous post. Just like in Orkut..

12. Notification tab on the top is also cool. You can move among multiple notifications in an adjacent small box. No need to open several tabs for each notification, like in FB...

I don't understand either/or's. Why do you have to dump facebook to use google +?

I can easily see fb staying in my life as my public 'page' and google+ being used just for peeps i'm really close to. You know, actually friends that might come over and spend the night.

Why would you throw away facebook equity? It takes time to cultivate a facebook page with ideal friend & like relationships. To switch to something else is like ditching one of your kids for a more efficient one!

Agree to most of the points here. However point no. 6, 7 and 9 are debatable.

Point 6: Facebook tells users if someone tags them in photo and gives a way to remove the tag. Not only this, if someone tries to tag you again in the same photo, Facebook won't let it happen by telling the user that you had un-tagged you from this photo before.

Point 9: I don't believe any company as far as the privacy of data is concerned. They will find a way to use your personal data sooner or later for promotional purposes or for their own use.

I wrote a long comment and hit 'Submit Comment' button here. While logging in with my twitter account here on pcworld, I was redirected to this page again... and vola..!!! I lost the entire comment! I got a reason to move to TechCrunch or Mashable... :-|

The whole pretense of the article is bizarre.

Are there that many people who would just up and abandon Facebook for Google+?

Also, it's absurd to even suggest that when it still isn't even open to everyone.

There seem to be many reasons to switch to G+

I use some google products so reason nr,1 is all I need to switch.

Thank you for this informative article.

Will be signing up for this. Say what you like about google, but their stuff actually works properly and is easy to use.

If enough friends also move over, i will be ditching my FB account.

I've just started using it and already have to many cicrcles, using it is to confusing and don't see any particular reason why this is better than facebook.

a "migration feature" would be helpful ie to transfer content from an existing Facebook account to Google+? (if not already asked and answered)

All good things must come to an end, and so is for FB.

All good things must come to an end, so is with FB. It was inevitable for cos like google to come up with a competitive product like Google+.

Out of all the points, you're only 100% correct on #6. The rest you either aren't as familiar with Facebook as you think you are... or you're simply dazzled by the shiny new thing that is Google+

I need a compelling reason to switch, Google+ hasn't provided that yet.

I completely agree! Google+Circles should NOT be compared to Facebook Groups... but maybe Friends Lists on Facebook. I'm pretty baffled at the journalism coming out about Google+. Is anyone credible?
