I need to buy a new wireless router because my wireless G router is not giving me a strong signal in my house. So what kind of router will give me a good strong signal? The router will be in the basement and would like to get a good signal on the top floor(3red) of the house?

I bought a 5dBi Indoor Desktop Omni-Directional Antenna to upgrade the routers antenna but I am not sure it will fit.

Thanks

You might be better off getting a wireless access point and putting it elsewhere in the house. Just saying... and why can't the router be, say, on the second story, in the middle of the house?

Okay thanks I will look into wireless access points. The cable comes into the house in the basement back 10 years ago the main cable to the modem was installed to be used on one pc down there. So if I wanted to move the modem I would need re-wire and all.
