Our votes actually don't count.. atleast not president wise.
And do we not already have something to that effect? Big corporations already own the government to some extent.. how else can you explain Big Tabaco's ability to keep a product intended for human use, specifically created to addict, and one who's lethality is well known and documented (although somehow still disputed as scientists keep getting bought out to say that cancer happens every day; it's not the cigarettes) to continue to exist in the market? Looking at the ingredients in them.. there are 599 additives (basically everything you've never thought to put in your food and more) that they use in Cigarettes and they are all approved by the US government for consumption, (althought not burning). But I imagine that the FDA just assumed people would eat them, not smoke them. And I also assume that pesticidal growth regulators such as Methoprene are perfectly safe for consumption.

Look at what the voters wrought in previous elections; then come back and tell of the great ability of the voters to both vote wisely and hold their representatives accountable.

You're speaking of genius moves like where 54% of the state voted to the elect Jenny Oropeza, a woman who was dead for a month before the election? Or the fact that 90% of the people in power have been in power for quite a while and are doing little more than lining their pockets and pushing their own agendas while defending our right to get shafted by corporate america at every twist and turn?

From past experience, I'll not be surprised if someone here accuses me of being an elitist when I say that the overwhelming majority of American voters are wholly unqualified for the task, that they gravely lack the knowledge and understanding necessary for making informed rational decisions of a nature that affect the many.

They can call you what they will. That doesn't change the facts: one way, or another.
