I have a GretagMacBeth Eye-One (also i1) calibration device that works perfectly on my desktop (nvidia gpu). They were later bought out by X-rite, so the later software versions that support Win7 say x-rite, though the previous versions on XP looked the same. It also worked fine on my prev XP system (also nvidia gpu).
However, it completely DEcalibrates the screen on my laptop. The color is all brownish and completely epicly wrong. If I set it to the 'native white point', it looks essentially the same as before. The annoyance is that the screen is a bit too white by default - on my desktop, it gave it a nice warmer 6500K color. Although my laptop says 6500K in the amd settings, it looks more like 9300K. I don't think the squirrel in my wallpaper really looks that white. (note: it's not all that bad, but is a bit annoying. The harsher white gets a bit annoying on my eyes after a while.)
Any ideas?

Maybe it's and old squirrel with Gray hair ?
Actually I've never heard of that app. I usually use the calibration tools provided by ati / Nvidia.

I've found those tend not to work as well. The device is around 5 years old. btw incase you were wondering, see the attached image.
