Remember, according to the new DMCA laws, it IS legal to copy dvds you buy to the computer.
Also, what tools are there that can copy bluray discs? I might get a bluray drive eventually, so it would be nice to be able to do that.

Oh whoops, it's actually for educational purposes or "criticism", whatever... anyway, I feel it's perfectly fine to rip a dvd I OWN for MY PERSONAL USE. It's one thing if I'm doing that so I can view the content on a netbook or smartphone that lacks a DVD drive, it's quite another if I'm posting it on bittorrent for thousands to view.

It is impossible DMCA clearly stat that ripping DVDs is legal. However DMCA does not say that DVD owners can not rip DVD for personal usage.

I agree. Magic DVD Ripper does the ripping job very well. I'm pretty sure the guys who supply ripped movies in torrent sites like piratebay use this software. They actually have a mother's day sale going on. $60 for a fully licensed software is not that bad.

I'm a member of GiveAwayOfTheDay.com. Membership is FREE. Everyday they send me an E-mail about software that is downloadable & FREE. This is software that you'd normally have to pay for, but it's FREE if you DL & install it within the 24 hr time limits. You can install the software on as many computers as you want, as long as it's installed before the end of the 24 hr. time limit. The software is always Fully Functional & you are registered as a legitimate owner.
I've DL'ed & installed a bunch of DVD & Blu-Rippers from G.O.T.D. Some are Good, other are Better. DVD/Blu-Rippers are a common Free Software from G.O.T.D. If for some reason you don't like the software, Just REVO it & GLAREY the Registry.
