Will g+ allow anonymity for people as much as twitter? just asking...!

Also g+ will surely rise no doubt about that, but twitter and facebook will not become obsolete because they will continue to make improvements as quick as possible to retain their user base which is already huge!

All of these services will co exist!

"Millions of people have signed up for the service but have never used it. Millions more used it for a while, but stopped."

Geez, Mike -- the exact same thing can be said about Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo, and dozens of other services. Are you just another Google "True Believer", or did they give you a check for this article?

Someone's been drinking the Kool-Aid. One of Twitter's biggest draws is that it doesn't have tons of other stuff hanging on. The brevity of Tweets keeps it from becoming just another place where people ramble on and on. Add to that the fact that it's not mired inside a bloated interface and it's easy to see why some many millions of people still use it and will continue to use it long after Google+ has moved on.

Sometimes it better to do one thing well. Sometimes less is better.

I refuse to join anything that has to do with the Cyber Fascitst Front that is Google. No gmail account for me. And people thought Bill Gates was dangerous? I recommend we move on to something else. Despite the technorati ramblings, Google domination is not inevitible.

I refuse to associate with anything having to do with the Cyber Fascist Front that is Google. No, you won't find me on gmail. And people thought Bill Gates was dangerous? Let's all move on. Despite all the cocksure technorati ramblings, Google domination is not inevitable.

In more than 164 characters; Precisely my own assessment and thoughts for the nothingness that it is worth or matters.
Don Henley sings; 'There are 3 sides to every story; 'Yours' - mine - and the stone cold truth'. Unfortunately, politics are depicted the same way: 'Left - Centre- Right' But never any 'Stone Cold Truth'. This article is just that, the forth dimension; 'Factual Reality'. 'FR rigidly polarizes, black or white, love or hate, but there is no getting away from it.

I'll bet Mike Elgan's grandad wrote a review praising the Ford Edsel as the "car of the future" just before it hit the market.
Nobody is even USING Google+ yet. I tried to sign up, and got the "limited trial - try later" message. Yeah, THAT'll drive me off Twitter.

There's a growing number of people who'd rather use Google selectively and not be completely under its large umbrella.
That's why Twitter will continue.
