Sounds like you're a frequent offender.

I think you might want to bust out a dictionary and look up the definition of "offender"
Offender of what? If he's grandfathered into the unlimited data plan, then he's SUPPOSED TO GET UNLIMITED DATA. If I sold someone something that claimed to be unlimited and then took it away when they got so much, I would be sued. If he's a tiered customer then he's paying for all the overages. Either way he's not an offender of anything. This is the data version of Netflix's little fiasco a few years back where if you rented a ton of movies on their "unlimited" plan they would wait to ship you out the new ones (which coincidentally was also called throttling)
Please, research stuff before you make yourself look like a fool or just take your computer and throw it out the window and save us all the trouble of having to listen to your responses.

Offender as in abusive of a resource that has to be shared by other customers. My use of the English language is apparently far superior to one that you could ever hope to achieve. Apparently your little definition of unlimited is that you are entitled to all the resources the world has to offer for your own dimented self-serving use. Just because you have a bizarre ego-centric definition of unlimited doesn't mean that everyone outside your fantasy world does.
This is very evidenced by the statement concerning whom may respond to comments and how what I should be doing with my computer. You might want to look up the word "responsibility".

not limited; unrestricted; unconfined: unlimited trade.
2.
boundless; infinite; vast: the unlimited skies.
3.
without any qualification or exception; unconditional.

You MUST be from back east...because you can't read to save your life. IF you are on a data plan with a limit you will NOT have your speed limited. It CLEARLY says that in the article.
My ONLY complaint with AT&T is they STILL do not offer 4G in Texas as they advertise they do. I have one of their 4G phones and I have NEVER gotten above 900Kbs down in the middle of their 4G service area. They do lie...but they don't need any help from idiots who can't read a simple article.

Refreshing was when the airwaves were treated as a public asset, utilities were regulated as a necessary public service and price gouging was limited.

Excuse me but choices? You're forced to sign up for a Data plan even if you don't want one. You're forced to take a data plan that may not fit your needs. You are throttled if you dare to use the service you paid for. I ask again where are my choices?

Offender of what? Actually using what I PAY FOR? Yes, I am. I always get my moneys worth. How is that a problem?
