Cloud, smoud...the term "cloud" is synonymous with cell providers use and hype of 4G. Nothing really new just more expensive.

The cloud bubble is building, when it pops what we will end up with is some things go to the cloud, other, no so much.

Like all over-hyped technologies the cloud is more concept than concrete.

The cloud in actuality is the good old Internet\WAN\LAN on steroids with strangers handling your applications and data, for a fee.

And if that works for your business, great.

On more thing, the "local" cloud ...back in the day a wide open network with data hung all about for the taking was called a LAN, and not surprisingly, anarchy.

I think someone spent to much time in the cloud and his brain got mushy for lack of oxigen.
