I was going to ask some questions about 3D TV, but I am not sure if anyone is still around here. If any of you are here, can you kindly tell me what you think?
I read up all the old threads about 3D TV while I was researching for my next TV sets. I want the Best 3D TV that is LED or LCD/LED and need your recommendation or advice. I am considering between Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio, but I can't make up my mind because they all seem very decent and each of them has their own individual strengths. Please help...

Hi. I have had a Toshiba for a while. It is a 42" and at 60 Hz not 3-D capable. I just recently purchased a 42" LG that is 3-D capable and am perfectly happy with it. Actually, I think the Picture is much better than the one on my Toshiba. From what I've seen, maybe Sony should be the last choice as the reviews for the Sony TV's seem to be mixed at best. Samsungs are good. My Nephew has a 42" in his bedroom and I am using a Samsung Monitor. Incidently, Samsung and LG are both Korean products and the Koreans seem to do pretty well with this stuff. Vizio is a U.S. company in Irvine, Calf. I think. I have heard & read that once you get above 46", you will start losing some picture quality, but know of no one who has one above 46".

I have Samsung UN46D8000 which is in a 46" version of the UN55D8000 model. My Samsung TV has a beautiful picture quality and sleek design, and I like its smart feature very much. It allows me to surf the web and watch movies on Netflix.
I like my TV but I was frustrated when I first bought it, because I had the feeling I was being ripped off. It was my mistake, though, not calculating correctly. My budget was $2000 and the TV Was $1900 on a deal. I decided to get it because the TV price was within my budget. However, The total amount later for my TV was $2400 without sales tax because I had to pay $400 for glasses and $80 for wifi adapter. It cost me 25% more than I planned because I was not counting the price of extras. I was not aware of it because noboday informed me back then. I compulsively bought it beyond my budget because I needed a new 3D TV so bad and I thought it was still a good deal at the moment.
I am satisfied with my Samsung TV, but not completely. If I only did my research correctly and thoroughly before I decide to buy anything... If I only knew it would cost me this much, I wouldn't have bought it. I am thinking now that I was able to buy a 55" TV with all the extras with in a budget if I bought the LG 55LW6500. I wish I could use their comfortable glasses on my TV sets.. my glasses are killing me with all the flickering when they get low on battery... Ugh...

Mine is exact same model from the list above. It is LG 55LW6500 and I am very very satisfied with my TV. The LW6500 was much brighter than Samsungs or Sonys 3D TV when I tried them at the store. It has natural colors and picture not like the ones that has dim and artificial crisp pictures. Most of all, I love it's lightweight, battery free, and flicker free cinema like 3D TV glasses. I heard from my co-worker who is Korean that LG is regarded as the best TV manufacturer in Korea.

Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio… They are the top manufacturers, and I understand it is a tough call to choose between them. Personally, I like passive 3D sets, LG and Vizio, over active 3D sets like Samsung and Sony. I like passive sets better for many reasons and one is because it gives no restriction on my posture when watching TV. To me it is important that I can watch my TV when lying down because the main purpose of my TV is to watch movies before I go to sleep. I thought Samsung and Sony were the best 3D TVs, but I changed my mind ever since I learned from reviews that the glasses of active 3D sets turn black when they are tilted and their 3D technology involves flickering to generate 3D effects. I have done alot of research, reading many 3D TV reviews and buying guides from trusted sites, and It seems that out of the passive 3D sets, LG models are favored. This was highly due to the fact their models had a 2D to 3D conversion feature as well as a superior image quality over the Vizio. .
