Abbey: Hello, how may I help you?
Allen Lee: CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CALL ME ON MY CELL AT (919) 426-XXXX?
Allen Lee: It's ironic that a phone service company has NO phone numbers to be contacted by.
Abbey: we only have a Chat support service Allen
Allen Lee: please restate that for the record; you sell phone service, but you only have chat support service, correct?
Abbey: May I know the exact nature of your problem with full details please?
Allen Lee: i asked you a question; are you going to answer it?
Allen Lee: please restate that for the record; you sell phone service, but you only have chat support service, correct?
Abbey: We use Tech Chat to better assist you. By using Tech Chat, we can send you instant upgrade links and run se
Abbey: veral diagnostic tests, that cannot be done over the telephone. We are also able to see where you are located, what OS and Internet browser you are using. Lastly we can see that your Internet connection is working too. This will provide the best Customer care experience and keep you most satisfied.
Abbey: I will be right with you.
Abbey: May I know the exact nature of your problem with full details please?
Allen Lee: sure - call me
Allen Lee: i'm sure you can do this; after all, you should have a Magic Jack, correct
Abbey: that is not possible Allen.

AFTER FINALLY GOOGLING A PHONE NUMBER FOR MAGIC JACK, I CALLED THEM. I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR 30 MINUTES, 56 SECONDS, AND THEN THEY HUNG UP ON ME. REAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICE...

Here's a link to a recording of my worthless call: And yes, it was in regards to billing issues!

Hi and welcome to the forums. From my take on this conversation, the support service is by CHAT ONLY and the only way you have to resolve issues, meaning the support is probably offshore. You probably should have stated thast your problem was in relation to a billing issue, and if she couldn't resolve it, she shpuld have transferred you to someone who could. My guess it that she was for Tech problems only.

The support usually is. Microsoft is known for that. The last time my grandparents had issues with their internet, it looked like the router couldn't login to the connection, so she called earthlink and said it sounded like the person had a thick accent. I wonder if they were in India. (really!)

Frankly, it is not too surprising for a device that costs like $20 and has no monthly charges associated with it. They can likely keep the costs down because they only operate by chat.

And from the times I've used chat support, it seems that they often have one person dealing with 4-5 chats. It takes them a little while to respond to you.

They probably are. Been a long time since I've done that, but that was my feeling as well.

I know someone who has a magic jack. It kept disconnecting him. Needless to say, he cut off any contact he had with magic jack.

Another unsolved issue with magicjack fiction CS,
One month ago I visit a frined of mine and I presented to hime the magicjack Talk Free app for Iphone. I order to show him how it works I install his Iphone and registered him into my amgicjack account. He bougth one for himself and registered his own account at magicjack, but never could register his Iphone to his account since his Iphone was already registered as one of the optional subscription devices at my account.
During more then past 2 weeks Im chating with these none relaible agents of magicjack CS in propose to delete my frineds Iphone as one of the subscription devices at my account, but they never do what they promiss to do, I always have to start from the begining and almost begg them to solve this small issue. It seems like a fiction, they always give the same answer but their promises never fulfilled . I have saved all exhausting chats with them and I can show it to whom may be intrested to see them.It look like they lie and dont respect at all them cotumers.
I will never renew it next time.

NOTE: I removed your phone number as it isn't a good idea to post that. Normally this is a member's choice as to posting personal information, but I don't think that was a good idea.
