What are some good games you guys like? I'm particularly a fan of the Need for Speed games and some simulators (like simcity, but that's picky with the gpu it runs on, it seems to hate ati ones), but I don't really like warcraft ones or stuff like that. I love trying to knock over traffic light poles in Need for Speed World. (it requires you to be online, you see other players driving around too, you can drive freely or go in a race, and it's FREE)

I like a variety of things. Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Mass Effect 1&2, Deus Ex 1&2, The Witcher 1&2 ( LB, you are too young to play those ), Tomb Raider, Uncharted ( PS3 ). In short, I prefer RPGs and Action Adventure stuff. No shooters, although some I listed are psuedo shooters I suppose.

The Witcher doesn't seem all that interesting to me anyway. (from a little wikipedia searching) Fallout and Mass Effect seem interesting though, perhaps I'll download a demo of them. I don't quite get why Fallout is apparently rated Mature... come to think of it, Mass Effect is too.

My favorites over the years are the Tomb Raider games, I've played them all, and more than once. I am impatiently awaiting the prequel that's supposed to be released next year...

I like NFS too, especially Most Wanted. U should see when i'm on a rampage with those cops all over my ride! My last auto-carnage left more than a 100 demolished cars!! Did u try Hot Pursuit that was released in 2010? The chases are really wild in this game.
Nfs apart, i'm more of a GTA guy (San Andreas is my love) & i knock down anything that comes my way! I also a huge fan of 1st/3rd person shooters like HALO, IGI, Crysis, Max Payne, Call of Duty, STALKER etc. The recent ones that i played were Left4Dead 2, Mass Effect 2, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising & Resident Evil 5. All were tereffic games.

I have NFS Shift, World, and Hot Persuit III. That last one is so old that it's 16-bit and I have to use a vm to run it. It was released in '98. My friends with 32-bit machines claim it runs there (one has XP and one w7). I used an XP VM. The graphics are old, in fact smoke is quite pixely, even at the max resolution of 1152x864. That said, it's still a fun game.

I do have a liking for shooter & sand-box types but i would play almost about any genre be it RPG, Action/Adventure or even Survival/Horror. I've tried Fallout 3, its a nice game & so is Assassin's Creed 2. One more game that i played but never completed was X-men origins: Wolverine.
Anyways irrespective of the rating, here's a game that anyone can play; Tekken 6. Its a fighting game, quite common in arcades. Unfortunately its only for PS3(PSP also) or Xbox 360 consoles, there is no pc version. Playing this for years now.

My first portable was the GameBoy Advance. Have a wide collection of games in that begining with Pokemon of course. Others include Metal Slug, Tekken, CT special forces, Dragonball Z, Beyblade, WWE, Tarzan, Harry Potter, NFS, Price of Persia, Pirates of Carribean, Star Wars, ....blah...blah....blah...i can stretch this list over few more hours!

Yeah that old Hot Pursuit will work on 32-bit XP machine, tried it myself. But that game is nothing compared to the new NFS_HP(2010). I have played Shift as well but like cop chase themes more. Do u remember Underground 2 & the amount of customization that it allowed on the rides? That was some cool game.

U should give it a try despite it being an old game. U can customize almost every individual part of the car, unlike the newer generations where they offer sets/packs of body upgrades. Here this should tell u whats in the game: NFS_U2. It will take some time to unlock every part. But after u have done that, it will take hours to select the perfect parts for the ride. "cause u will be working on a lot of visuals as well as regular performance parts.
Actually its the visuals that offer u an array of choices. Apart from regular body mods they even include rims, side mirrors, doors, hydraulics, vinyls, special hoods..etc all with fine details. There is a wide variety of races including drifts & drag. And u can also have SUV's to race with! Is'nt much fun though.

Yeah, I have a few of those for the PS2 & PS3 as I prefer playing them on the console.

The Witcher is a pretty deep game with a deep storyline and many ways to go. I have played through The Witcher 2 three times and have had three different endings. As I said, that game is strictly for Adult players though. I have Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 and both are fun. Fallout 3 is a great game and immersive. Better to get the Game of the Year edition. Although it is rated M I had no issues with my then 16 year old Nephew playing it.

Honestly, I think there are other people my age who play M rated games. I wouldn't be surprised.

World of Warcraft was big for me. The Sims was great. I currently own Metal Gear Solid 4 for Playstation 3. I've also played and beat the first MGS game numerous times, years ago. Great series altogether, but I haven't touched "WOW" and "The Sims" in years. I'm finding that I'm playing less and less video games in general. I simply have other things to do.

While I'm waiting for the next Tomb Raider game I'm playing some I've started but haven't finished. Right now I'm on Batman: Arkum Asylum and next I'll finally get around to Resident Evil 5 and Max Payne 2.

FYI, those are all 3rd person games on the PC. Some of the FPS games I've really enjoyed come from Valve: Portal 1 and 2 (more of a puzzle game than a shooter), and all of the Half Life games (all terrific!).

My NES favs are: Dr. Wario, Super Mario 3, The Legend of Kage...etc.
I'm not a PC gamer, that's why I'm more into mobile gaming, like the 'Nights' series, Crime Files, IQ Genius... And loads of Sega Megadrive titles!
