Argh! I mentioned earlier in this thread that I've been playing Batman Arkum Asylum, and I was about a third of the way through when I decided to upgrade to Win7 x64 (I kept getting sidetracked by other games). That's when I found out the save games from 32-bit are not compatible and I had to start all over. Sigh...

Just another learning experience. Been there and done that. :D That also explins why the save files from Titan Quest wouldn't work on my Gateway or this new build ( both 64 bit, one Vista and this one Windows 7 ) It was stated on another machine running XP MCE 2005 ( 32 bit ). Speaking of which, gues I'll get over on the PS3 and Two Worlds II, although I am getting a bit tired of getting my butt kicked. Got these things called Gromms and they don't play fair. Two on one, and they have weapons that can take you out in two whacks. Been some real slow going, and I discovered that they will run back to their encampment and heal themselves. Been trying to draw them out using a bow and keep them at a distance, but they will slowly creep up on you over time, so you need to watch them and act accordingly. Get too far away form their camp and they wil run back...........and heal. :o :P

I'm not sure if I'm ever going to finish the Batman game. It has beautiful graphics, great controls, decent story line, but for some reason I get sort of bored with it. I had the same problem with Resident Evil 5 and Bioshock, it just seems to be the same thing over and over.
The games I've really enjoyed lately managed to mix it up enough to keep me engaged (Alice: Madness Returns, Rage, Mirror's Edge and Portal 2). There's a game on Steam I'm interested in getting, something with zombies at a resort, I can't remember the name and I'm not at my PC. Anyway, the graphics look really good so I'm tempted (and it's on sale  ).

I did have a favorite game, until I took an arrow in my knee.

Though it's becoming less and less a 'favorite' as it crashes more and more. Bethesda seems to think that making a game 'stable' enough not to crash every hour is optional.

PS3 version? I had similar issues with the XBOX 360 version of Fallout: New Vegas. Same engine, basically. Especially when the skyrim save game size (infamously) got over 9MB.

http://www.gameinfor...on-ps3-too.aspx

Nothing like getting 92MB patches that don't prevent the game from simply croaking, one of which made it decidedly worse.

When I deleted the 'updates' and started a fresh, new game, it seems more stable. But I haven't done much, except play the assassin storyline to get Binky.

Hey ED, Nope, I am playing the PC version of Skyrim. AS for Fallout: New Vegas, there were problem with all three platforms. The one with the least problems seemed to be the PS3 for some reason ( I played both the PS3 & PC versions ). Incidently, I have the PS3 Collector's Edition still sealed in the closet. :D

5. Iron Sword Wizards and Warriors 2
4. Zelda A Link To The Past
3. Super Mario Brothers 3
2. Dark Souls
1. Demon's Souls

I just got Dark Souls and have been playing Demon's souls off and on. As for Zelda. I haven't played anything since Windwaker. My nephew has all the Nintendo stuff ( Game Cube & hand helds ).

ive never played windwaker.

That one wasn't quite as linear as the previous Zelda stuff.

im not a big fan of sailing endlessly for hours in cartoon blue water.

I would say that my favorite games would have to be Final Fantasy, TW PGA Tour, anything with Pinball in its name, Need for Speed, Driver, and SOCOM.

My top 10 games from #10 to #1 would be
10. Jagged Alliance 2
9. Vandal Hearts
8. Supreme Commander
7. Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 (had to include both)
6. Sacrifice (hard to believe people were calling the both rather underwhelming titles, Black & White and Impossible Creatures "innovative" when Sacrifice did everything those games did first)
5. Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
4. Half-Life 2
3. Planescape: Torment
2. Ultima VII: The Black Gate
1. Deus Ex
and some games that almost made it were StarCraft, Warcraft III, Doom, Final Fantasy VI & VII, Metal Gear Solid 3, Rome: Total War, Neverwinter Nights, Anachronox, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura, & Heroes of Might and Magic III. As you can see, I had a lot of choices :) .

I've got a lot of favorite games, but my top 10 of all time, at least as of how I feel today (2 and 4 can switch at the drop of a hat) are:

1. Chrono Trigger (SNES)
2. Super Metroid (SNES)
3. Super Mario World (SNES)
4. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1)
5. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (PC/Xbox)
6. Earthbound (SNES)
7. Ace Combat 5 (PS2)
8. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
9. WWF: No Mercy (N64)
10. Rock Band 2 (360)

There are a ton more I could list, but that seems like a solid cross-section of the ones I love the best.

Do Skyrim people poop in the woods?

Apparently so.

Besides town guard selection through knee injuries, has anyone else noticed that there's no place for anyone to poop, anywhere?

I've bought several of the houses available in the game... and been inside and around lots of others... no privy for any of them. No outhouses.

When I first went to Windhelm, I looked at the water leaving the castle, and knowing about medieval plumbing, thought 'Ewww, I don't wanna wade through that.'

But my concerns were ill founded. I don't think anyone actually poops in the game. Maybe they all have magic underpants.

No wonder the thieves guild can live in a sewer.

I was playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on a Gameboy Color back in '03 the day that Hurricane Isabel decided to pay a call. Unfortunately at the time I was on an adapter and was at the final boss, when the lights went out and I lost my progress ( my Nephew was playing something else on a Gameboy Advance, also on an adapter ).:P :D Just trying to save batteries ( not really an issue with the Gameboy Adavance as that thing was rechargeable ). I was at the door to the chamber with full health too. I thought I had a save there, but apparently not.

Aw man that sucks; how much progress did you lose? Was it just a dungeon or was it a full-on "I've been playing this for 4 hours, nah, I'll be ok without saving" situation?

Hi, I like the Tycoon series, e.g. Rollercoaster T., Civ (play Civilization III and my PC invariably outplays me). And there's this Lemmings classic game, too. SimCity, yes - SimCity 3000. Occasionally I play Tetris. FPSs and suchlike don't interest me much. Guess never did.

PS. Yesterday we had in Poland, trasmitted on internet and on TV Channel 2 (TVP2), the 20th annual Jurek Owsiak's WOSP charity and it seems a record sum, again, has been collected. And Justyna Kowalczyk rocks, not only because she won the annual plebiscyte for the sportsman/sportswoman of the year the day before yesterday.

Good to see that not everything is frozen over there. :D Really bad weather hitting that part of the world. Pretty much as been spprintime here, maybe two days of "Real" Winter, where the temps never got out of the 30's F. Been Playing one that comes out of TopWare Studios that I think is in Warsaw. Great game and some fantastic graphics. Have already played through The Witcher stuff out of CD Projekt Red studios over there. I am really impressed with games I am finding from other there. :D

I do PC games, never console Im not gonna spend money on some XBox when I can use it to upgrade my PC. I makes me mad so many games are not out for PC, and lottsa PC games are mods of console games that really makes the game suck.

I like Mechcommander 2, I have lottsa star trek games that I like, wing commander is real good, I like GTA vice city I make mods for that. Godfather 2 is good. I have trainers for my games so I can win and have more fun.

At this point SC2 and Tropico for relaxation really are the ones I tend to enjoy most, but the time I spend on them has decreased as well.

What are some good games you guys like? I'm particularly a fan of the Need for Speed games and some simulators (like simcity, but that's picky with the gpu it runs on, it seems to hate ati ones), but I don't really like warcraft ones or stuff like that. I love trying to knock over traffic light poles in Need for Speed World. (it requires you to be online, you see other players driving around too, you can drive freely or go in a race, and it's FREE)

I like SWTOR that was released on 20th Dec 2011; However it cost me a lot, since i'm not good at leveling up and have to buy SWTOR Credits online, even though i use 8% coupon code IGXEIGXE55916 from igxe
