i had my laptop infected with malicious spywares before - and it was then that i realized there are lots of websites out there that claim to allow users to download some softwares, free or not, yet, many softwares in fact carry with them some adwares/spywares/trojans. i wonder if there is/are any recommended sites to download softwares to faciliate the running of my laptop without me worrying when my laptop will be infected again.

I see that you hav posted three separate posts for basically the same thing. The best "general" site that I use to download anything is, of course, www.download.com. Basically all you do is type in key words for whatever you need. This site will tell you how others rate the application and if it is freeware, shareware, or if you have to pay for it before you download it.I am not sure how others feel about multiple postings but I case you wanted to get the word out to as many people as possible. :)I hope this helps you.
