If you like doing panoramic pictures and don't like spending a lot of money on expensive software or putting in hours of work matching exposures on pictures and pasting together, there's a program called Hugin - Panorama Stitcher
that does an amazing job. Here's a few (small) examples to look at that I just finished putting together from a weekend of exploring mountains:
Warning: eventhough the pics are cut down, they're still fairly large (2-5 MB).
