First of thanks for the reply..... This pc im on now is running vista ultimate... & it dosnt have a floppy drivehowever my other pc is running windows xp home edition & it does have a floppy driveKeep in mind that the corrupt hard drive.. Is non bootable It will not get past the post screen when its is hooked up Or mayb set it to slave ?? ehh or will windows reconize it when its hooked up by usb via the xternal case ? If you think windows will reconize it when hooked up via usb do i just boot of my vista ultimate disk & choose repair ? or am i better of doing it on my other pc & boot of the windows xp disk... either way please explain what commands ive got to use etc. ThanksRegards

What I suggest you do is download {size:18px}On Track Data Advisor[/size:2d67c814a0]You will need two new or formatted Floppy disks.Remove the 120 Mb HDD from the USB drive.Remove the Windows XP HDD from the computer and replace it with the "Problem" Western Digital 120 GB hard drive.Insert On Track Data Advisor Disk 1 in the floppy drive and boot it.Follow the instructions to insert FDD 2 in the drive. The program will analysise your HDD and give you a few options.
