Ive done multiple system restores and formatted the computer a few times trying to get it to work again.
my cpu no matter what im doing is always 60% plus ive only been using this computer to play one game while im waiting for 6 hours at school. When i try to play runescape my Java and browser (200k+ rescources for firefox 150k for IE) take a massive amount of rescources. Java can take anywhere from 150k-400k and with this i cant play. Even on the lowest of low it still does this. My laptop is only about 2 years old this game is from 1999 wtf.

i use avast and malwarebytes what should i post to help you help me (Yeah i used it) pictures of my proccess and services?

(what kind of trash cant run runescape of all games?)

EDIT: Also this is on a new restore.

Hi :

To possibly help you, some basic info about your laptop is
needed, such as the COMPLETE description of your Operating
System, which should include any possible "SP" with a
number after it and do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit ?
Knowing the specific "version" of your Java would be
helpful; this is likely accomplished by you going to
http://www.javatester.org/version.html and in the
"Method 1: Ask Java", report what it says in the "pink
rectangle" .
I have java on my computer and when I go to a game site
and I see java "loading", it does NOT show up in my
Task Manager .
I know my Java can get "filled" to capacity quite easily
and to get it to function, I have to "empty" it on a
frequent basis . I do so by using the FREE ATF Cleaner
program ; perhaps you should look into possibly using
this program !?

Sure: http://www.mydigitallife.info/download-windows-7-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit-direct-download-links/

You MUST use your own license key, this is only the install media. Burn the ISO to a dvd with a program like ImgBurn. Windows 7 has one built in btw.

Hi Fayko :

As far as playing RuneScape on your laptop, perhaps what
ElfBane posted on Aug 29 applies !?

"Playing graphics intensive PC games on a laptop is also just begging for obsolescence. PC games should be played on... you guessed it! A PC! But seriously, I would look into a desktop for playing these kind of games. "

Im not even trying to play the game anymore on this laptop. At start up my cpu is at 100% and sounds like my fan is working at 200% my laptop is horribly slow and it shouldnt be i just reinstalled everything whats going on?

(and runescape was first made for people with aol and what not to play its not a graphics hog far from it. I use to play unreal and WoW on this computer at high and this didnt happen.)

It might be somthing with windows or hardware.

Try to run puppy linux from either CD or USB flash drive. See if the CPU is 100%. If it is, than it is hardware problem.

If it is not, than it is windows.
Windows 8 is a useless OS that Microsoft released that has many flaws and bugs. DO NOT USE IT. Use Windows XP or Windows 7.

EDIT: Ive also been getting "Internet explorer can open "Website.com" operation halted" alot lately.

Overheating can cause a slowdown and should be looked into.

Wouldn't hurt to do that and gently blow it out to get rid of any dust build up. Doesn't take much with a laptop as it is rather confined in there anyway. Hopefully you won't see any melted parts.

Ok. A fresh application of thermal compound to the CPU probably wouldn't hurt. That isn't something I've done on a laptop though.

If overheating was the culprit, there's not much that can be done for a laptop.

If heat gets so bad that it causes damage you can see, the damage is permanent(*). In a desktop, you'd replace the damaged component. With a laptop, that's often not really an option. If the part is available at all, it's usually specific to your make and model and only available from the manufacturer (a new part, anyway. You can sometimes find used parts on eBay). If you buy from the mfr, expect to pay far more than what an equivalent generic part designed for a desktop would be.

(*) Heat damage doesn't have to be visible to be permanent. It's often a "silent killer."
