I tried the free spotify and was quite impressed but I do most of my listening in the car off of my Android smartphone (Thunderbolt) so I figured, hey, what the hell, I will try out the premium and if I don't like it then it was only $10, no worries. Well it is now 2 months later and I am so glad that I did. First off, it keeps me from having to keep songs on my phones sdcard, taking up space, it also lets me have a much more vast library without having to spend hundreds of dollars on CD's or iTunes .99 songs. It did wonders for me on a 12 hour drive, not cutting out even when on a 1x network (The site says you only need a 526 kb connection to run).

Picking songs is easy, just search for a song, band, album and you will find what you are looking for. Search a song and like the band? Well click the band's name and have all of their work right at your fingertips.

Making playlists is as easy as dragging and dropping songs either from a search or your library.

Finally, to tell you the truth I first started out using this cause I figured it would be cheaper than getting caught pirating especially at a modest $10 a month, and also make me feel less paranoid, plus it avoids tieing up my network with CD downloads and so far I regret nothing. Great service.

Yes, I hear you on the piracy thing! It's definitely nice to have an unlimited library for $10/mo. To be honest, I haven't tried the Android client just yet (even though I'm pretty much in love with Android). Will give it a spin soon!
