In the text it advises to make a DOS directory, but in the final commands, it mounts a directory called DOSGAMES that was not created. Also, it initially suggests creating a "daggerF" directory, and later the command goes to a "dagger" directory.

Or just to make things a lot easier, you can download the Daggerfall installer from here: http://theelderscrol...gerfallSetup_EN

This is a project that has pre-configured and installed daggerfall to dosbox, all you have to do is run the installer then click the shortcut to play.

The patch file name is dag213 not dag 123.

I get an error during the "install" command telling me that it is an illegal command. How do I fix this this?

the issue that most people are having is a error in the instructions. instead of "mount d c:\dos\daggercd -t cdrom -label Daggerfall" you need to type in "mount d c:\dos\daggercd\dfcd -t cdrom -label Daggerfall" to access the installation program

I've done all this page has said to do, but I keep getting this:
CRITICAL ERROR: Please delete your Daggerfall directory and reinstall.
this is after typing in C:\DAGGER>dagger
any fixes?

Easy install if you're using his tut above and it is not installing (the author contradicts his pathing as he has you extracting into c:\DOS\daggercd not outside it):

INSTALL- \/

mount c c:\DOS -freesize 1000
mount d c:\DOS\daggercd\DFCD -t cdrom -label Daggerfall
d:
install

and to run afterwards! (save this in the options text for dosbox if you only emulate this game.

mount c c:\DOS -freesize 1000
mount d c:\DOS\daggercd\DFCD -t cdrom -label Daggerfall
c:
cd\daggercd\dagger
dagger

If it doesn't work, double check your pathing and make sure you're capping text correctly. Most errors (not enough memory, invalid etc) come down to messing up the pathing.
