Really? Where is the rest of the story? Like, how did this tech come about? Where and when will I be able to buy the Dual Play glasses w/o having to make crappy ones on my own? What does Sony think about all this after the release of their PS TV? Come on PCWorld, I expect more form you people,

Apparently you have been out of the loop. Hackers created this. They figured out that you could modify 3d glasses to accept an image meant only for the right or only for the left eye, display it to both, and force a split screen side by side game into 3d mode. By doing so - both players say only their own screen, and it would be stretched to full screen.

The hackers simply dubbed it - Split screen, Full screen mode.
"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'" -- Isaac Asimov
