battery life

hi, ive had my laptop for a year now, i just want to know why its battery only lasts for an hour, though i seldom use it unplugged. But in cases i need to use it with battery, it doesn't take me any further. need your advice..thanks

Because of self discharge, if You don't use a battery some period. What type is it? Could be some malfunction with battery, memory effect if is NiCd?!:rolleyes:

You should Calabrate it every2-3 months. If you don't use it a lot, then you should discharge it and then take it out of the laptop. If you take it out, make sure you charge it after 2-3 months and then discharge it.

Well the battery life in a battery dies. As battery recharges the battery cells gets much weaker and weaker. Here is the place i buy all my parts for laptops. Any brand for laptop batteries. [url]http://www.atbatt.com/laptop-batteries.asp_ :D
