i agree with you. This is how things played out.Microsoft forced the OEM to introduce UEFI(totally unnecessary btw)and took end users control of their pc's away, now they claim it wasn't them,it's the OEM the one to blame, but we all know better than that, don't we! the truth is clear,Microsoft wants to stop Linux from growing just because they hate us,so let me tell you Gates guy,as smart as you are and regardless how much money you give the OEM,we will prevail.

Actually, UEFI is totally NECESSARY to move past 2.2TB hard drives. Progress requires innovation. UEFI is part of that requirement. And for what little it is worth, UEFI has been around for MANY years before Microsoft decided to require SECURE BOOT functionality. Microsoft ALSO required the OEMs to give people a way to disable it. Microsoft ALSO requires manufacturers to include legitimate keys used by Linux vendors.
Amazing how the WHOLE STORY is such a contrast to the limited picture you tried to paint.
"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'" -- Isaac Asimov
