Is there a way to get Firefox to use less battery power? I use it and get maybe 2 and a half hrs, but if IE is used, it gets about 5hrs. I don't get it. Would Chrome use less battery? Does Firefox's wallpaper rotator eat battery? (I could dump it for Windows' version).

Yeah addons can cause more CPU usage, hurting battery life. HOWEVER - ones like flash block and adblock will HELP there, as the ads and crap just waste CPU cycles.

What version of windows are you using?
Do you have the latest flash player?
The latest firefox version is 7.0.2
The latest flash version is 11
If you watch flash video, that will decrease battery life.
How many tabs do you have open?
Is the wifi signal strong at the cafe? or are you near the wifi router in your home?
