My daughter keeps getting a w32.myzor.sk@yf on her computer with a Internet Explorer warning. She went and bought a new norton 2007 and has ran it several times but cannot get rid of this problem. We do not know if it is a virus or spyware can someone offer a suggestion of what we need to do. When she called nortor they want 70.00 more dollars to solve the problem. Help

I learned by experience that Symantec is not worth fooling with and only want your money.Any website like theirs that charges top dollar for their product but does not list a contact fone number is not worth fooling with.Anyway you can try Avast.com and download their free antivirus and save to your desktop.Disable Norton before you install the Avast program.I believe if you have anything on her comp it will find it for you.It does a better job than Norton and will not cost you a cent. They do have a pro version mostly recommended for bussiness users. If this still does not solve her problems you might try Superantispyware.com.They also have a free version and the site is dedicated to fighting spyware and fake spyware anti-virus companies.I do hope that some of this may help you and your daughter and maybe end you paying big prices for something you can get just as good for free.Good luck

{size:18px}[/size]:D Hi McMoe : As a regular "Volunteer" on the Avast Antivirus Support Forums, you would need to COMPLETELY REMOVE everything of Norton PRIOR to installing the Good & FREE Avast Home Edition ( www.avast.com ), which has 7 "Providers/Shields" and Excellent Support Forums. That would be done by using what is at http://fileforum.bet...il/1125124391/1 . However, I doubt Avast would adequately take care of your daughter's problem, which is better dealt with by an antiSPYWARE/antiTROJAN program, like the FREE version of SUPERantispyware from www.superantispyware.com , as roybert mentioned . Specifically, WHAT is the Operating System on her computer ? Is there a software firewall on it ?
