How hard is it for these manufacturers to create some basic essential business apps to go along with those ''business'' tablets they are making?

Wow a glowing description of the iPad 2 calling it a gold standard, sorry in a business I want compatibility with my business applications, something Apple products don't offer. Maybe if PCWorld started doing its reviews without the preconceived notion that Apple is the standard for comparison, the results would be more believable. When it comes down to business compatibility the only tablets that are effective are ones running a version of Windows or in a growing number of cases perhaps Linux and not the pared down Android which like Apple is still a play thing.

More development needed, unfortunately - though things look much better than they did a year ago. Maybe the answer really is a mobile good Windows OS, though as an open-source fan I'd rather see a successful Android solution. Ironically, we represent two companies within our organization, and one of them standardized on iPhones and iPads about a year ago, after some experimental use previous to that. They've had good luck with them, and the guys I talk to like them a lot. But there's still the MS Office integration, which I get the impression could be better. Administration apparently hasn't been a problem, though. I have the same beef with Apple vs open-source. . . but you have to go with what works.

Just thinking about the comment about further development needed. . . is Android leaving the door open for Windows in taking so long to put out a really finished product?
